Halifax!

Halifax:

Longtidue and Latitude: 44 degrees N, 63 degrees W.

Population: 372,679

Population Density: 1506.2/km squared

Landforms: The hills and low mountain ranges of Halifax, Nova Scotia are all located within the appallacian mountains, a chain of mountains that extend about 1,500 miles in length. The bay of Fundy fronting Nova Scotia's west central coastline is world famous for it's high tidal range and the bay isclaimed to have the highest vertical tide lift in the world.

Climate: Winter temperatures are higher and summer temperatures arelower dueto theproximity of the ocean. Halifax has an eastern maritime climate, with a short, warm summer, and a cold winter. Disturbed, changeable weather is common throughout the year.

Ecozone: Atlantic maritime ecozone.

Closest National Park: Victoria Park.

Industries: The Fishing industry is the largest industry in halifax because of the ocean and the plentiful waters ( cod is mainly caught in halifax).
